Before Your Visit
Preparing for Your Appointment
Curly Hair Appointments
Wash Your Hair
Hair should be washed the same day or within 12 hours of the appointment.
Come With Dry Hair
Hair must be completely dry when arriving so we can clearly see the natural curl pattern.
Leave Hair Down
Please don’t come in with hair tied up — we need your natural curl patterns to be visible.

New Guest Booking Policy
At About Hair Mackay, every appointment is intentionally reserved to give you the time, care, and personalised service you deserve. To support this experience, we require a prepayment for all new guest bookings.
New Guest Prepayment
Cuts & blow dries require a $50 prepayment. All chemical services require a $100 prepayment.
Redeemable on the Day
Your prepayment is applied directly toward your service total on the day of your appointment — it is not an additional fee.
No-Show Policy
If a guest does not attend their confirmed appointment, the prepayment is forfeited.
